PASTURES

Before the development of cableways and skiing areas, Krvavec was a high mountain plateau used for cattle grazing. Two pastoral communities bring their cattle to graze during the summer months in the area of Krvavec: the Jezerca and Kriška Planina pastoral communities. In the summer, the two pastoral communities together graze approximately 350 animals around Krvavec. Many members of these pastoral communities see their future prosperity and progress based mostly upon the development of tourism in the Krvavec area.
